Looking around the geeklet repository, I was very attracted by the the dateline geeklets. As there is no native dateline support, I created a little binary to be run from the console, which at least supports most of my needs. Nothing great, but simple and good.

If you are interested you can download it from here:

Once downloaded, drop the dateline binary file somewhere in a directory (best would be somewhere in a directory in your bin path, otherwise you have to adapt the path within the attached geeklet.

The dateline supports the following commands:

dateline [-?] [-cw] [-n numberofdays] [-o offset] [-fgsc color] [-fgwc color] [-nocolor]
-?, prints this help and exits
-cw, show calendar weeks, default is no
-n numberofdays, show the number of days in the future, default is 20
-o offset, start at the current date +/- the offset, default is 0
-m num|full, show the month as number or fully written
-fgsc red|green|blue|black|brown|magenta|cyan|gray|yellow|white, sets the standard foregground color - default is terminal color
-fgwc red|green|blue|black|brown|magenta|cyan|gray|yellow|white, sets the weekend foregground color - default is terminal color
-nocolor, suppress all color formats, superseeds the fgsc and fgwc settings
