OSX Lion Themed Desktop

Posted in Collections by poedba 296 days ago

This is my Mac themed desktop. I've included 4 different background images for you choice.

Upon request, here are the instructions for recreating this look on your desktop...

  1. Download one (or more) of the background images with the extension of .jpg.

  2. Set this images to your desktop's wallpaper.

  3. For the next 3 steps, you'll need GeekTool installed which is available in the Mac App Store.

  4. Download and Open the IPStatus.glet file, when the New Geeklet window opens, select Yes and open the geeklet. (If this window is too large for your screen so that you can't see the Yes/No buttons, you can hit the <Space Bar>, which should select Yes or <Tab> then <Space Bar>, which should select No.

  5. Download and Open the ResourceMonitor.glet file, when the New Geeklet window opens, select Yes and open the geeklet. (If this window is too large for your screen so that you can't see the Yes/No buttons, you can hit the <Space Bar>, which should select Yes or <Tab> then <Space Bar>, which should select No.

  6. Download and Open the SystemInfo.glet file, when the New Geeklet window opens, select Yes and open the geeklet. (If this window is too large for your screen so that you can't see the Yes/No buttons, you can hit the <Space Bar>, which should select Yes or <Tab> then <Space Bar>, which should select No.

  7. After the 3 Geeklets are open, you can open the Geek Tool app to move the geeklets around the screen to your liking.

I am unable to view the Yes/No buttons. I have tried to navigate to the yes button (the default answer is No) but you cannot navigate by pressing tab (or any other common keys). is there anyway you could post the script as text?

Hi, everything works fine but the ResourceMonitor.glet still doesn't show up. Pressing space bar seems like doesn't hit the Yes button. Do you have any idea why it is not working?

Thank you very much mate

By the way, I'm using the Lion on my 2011 MBP, SSD Corsair Force 120GB and 8GB RAM.

I changed the screen resolution to 1344x840 then back to 1440x900 and the Yes/No buttons appeared.

But Memory usage doesn't work, it is locked at zero, any idea how to fix this?
