This is my first finalized attempt at a Geektool based desktop, using a variety of geeklets that I modified to fit the theme.

  1. The quote of the day in the upper left hand corner I found here: http://www.macosxtips.co.uk/geeklets/internet/brainyquote-of-the-day/

  2. The weather info and icon I found here: http://www.macosxtips.co.uk/geeklets/weather/weather-icon-and-info-yahoo-weather-1/

  3. The itunes geeklet I used is outstanding, and it comes in the form of an application rather than just a file to run. It was very easy to set up, and you can find it here: <http://www.macosxtips.co.uk/geeklets/music/itunesgeeklet-/) (I used the circle bar theme>

  4. The blue-flame battery meter I used can be found here: http://www.macosxtips.co.uk/geeklets/system/blue-flame-battery-meter/

  5. The CPU processes list I found here: http://www.macosxtips.co.uk/geeklets/system/top-processes-sorted-by-cpu-usage/ (I modified the code to list 8 processes instead of the default 13, and the post explains how to change that)

  6. Your standard date and time codes were used in the middle of the screen.

  7. I used Candybar and IconFactory for the icon set, I think it's called Flurry and there are literally hundreds of icons in the set. I use it because it's so complete.

  8. To change my dock to be clear I used Dock Library, just google it and check it out. Very simple.

Font: Optima

I encourage you all to visit the following wallpaper site for some great inspiration for some great new geektool creations! I've used it for years and the categories and cropping system is great. http://wall.alphacoders.com/

I would appreciate some good feedback so I can hopefully go on to create some great themes to share with you guys!

That's great. I'm loving that battery meter. Some transparency on the weather image, weather info, date and time might look nice. Play around with the opacity slider and see if you like it.

Is there a reason you're not using the Finder icon from that icon set?
