Hello All,

Each and every thing you see on my desktop came from examples I found on this site. Thank you.

As you can see, most of my GeekTool stuff is on the left side of the screen. Each displayed item comes from a Unix command or Perl Script from this site except the iCal "coming events" which uses iCalBuddy. I set up three shells to display today's events in red, tomorrows in yellow and white for 5 days out.

If you have trouble finding the commands for the included stuff, just drop me an email at jstonex55@yahoo.com and I'll send you the command.

Along the bottom is an ActivityMonitor display, DropCopy portal (handy for moving files quickly between computers without Lion's AirDrop) and finally WeatherUnderground's Widget.

Love GeekTool. Is there a Windows equivalent? My PC friends are jealous of my desktop. I tell them I did not design it, just borrowed the creativity of others. :-)

The Windows version is called Rainmeter, its a tad different, but can accomplish the same tasks:

There is also a Linux version, Conky:

I like the time and date geeklets how they're hidden.
