Magic Window desktop

Posted in Collections by rprebel 153 days ago

I'm using Magic Window, which is an animated desktop app. That can make it difficult to come up with a theme, since the desktop keeps changing. I'm using the standard weather and time scripts. The temp sensors are Temperature Monitor, and the Bowtie skin is Geektool (modified). The date and RAM geeklets I found here, but I can't seem to find the original pages I saw them on.

The second desktop is what it looks like if I'm not running Magic Window. It's my old standby. My font is Apple Garamond, which I've had since they accidentally included it on the OS 10.2 DVD.

I figured since I've been giving my opinion on other people's desktops, I should maybe post my own.

Do you usually set your paper airplanes on fire before sending them off? :p

Nice simple desktops. Kudos! And by 'simple' I mean non-cluttered and usable. It is hard to resist the urge to keep on adding stuff.

I like to put bowls of gasoline in random places before launching my lit paper planes. See how you can make even the most boring things interesting?

When I first got into geektool I had that problem, with the clutter I mean. Once the novelty of having all that info wears off, you can get down to the business of making a working desktop that isn't a complete cluster****. c:
